Ever since people started grouping together to create villages, towns, and cities, trash & other waste has always been a problem.
Today, we are fortunate enough to live in a place where managing waste isn’t that difficult but there are still some neglected areas in waste management, one being the cleanliness of trash bins! For many people, a dirty trash bin may not be a huge issue but for those of us that live in areas with regulations on when our trash bins can be visible, how long they can be out, and where they can be stored, a smelly bin can be a huge problem for home and business owners alike.
Until recently, there really hasn’t been a solid solution to a smelly bin other than just cleaning it yourself, usually with bleach and a water hose and dumping that chemical hazard down the gutter, which isn’t the environmentally correct option.
Dirty trash cans can pose a serious health risk to you , your family and your neighbors. The smell can attract rats and flies, not to mention maggots, both of which can contain dangerous diseases transferable to humans; and your dirty trash can is susceptible to harboring dangerous bacteria.
Bacteria that can lurk in your dirty garbage can may include:
We use a specialized rotating head designed specifically for the cleaning of waste bins. These heads blast nearly every square inch of the inside of your can with superheated water that also creates a steam cloud inside and outside of your can which continues the cleaning process!
We also use a pressure washing wand mounted to the rear of the truck to clean the outside of the bin as well.
At the end of each wash, we like to take things a step further in the cleaning and deodorizing of trash bins. We lightly treat each can with an odor eliminating, biodegradable solution which continues the sanitizing process while also adding a fresh scent to your cans. Recently we have used a variety of scents including mint, citrus, cherry, & lavender.
For most people living in regulated areas like an HOA community, the need to maintain a clean can makes this service make even more sense.
